We are a team of skincare experts with over 100 years of combined experience and an unwavering commitment to what we call Clean Science. We continuously evolve our formulations to ensure they incorporate medical-grade ingredients in the cleanest formulations to produce the best possible treatment results.

Defining Clean Science

Safe for human health
and our planet.

Proven effective and
continuously evolving.

The term clean within the aesthetic industry has come to embody ethically created products that are free from toxic ingredients. It’s open to interpretation, but for us, it means being honest and transparent about what ingredients are in our products and why. We are equally committed to science ‐ using clinically proven medical-grade ingredients, in optimal dosages within the formulations to create products that deliver exceptional results.

We Don't Do What's Easy, We Do What's Right

There is no denying the facts: the topical application of products may lead to some absorption of their ingredients, which in turn can be sensitizing to the skin or even detrimental to health. That’s why at AlumierMD we consciously ban harmful ingredients and hold safety at the forefront of our formulation process, only delivering safe ingredients that propel a change in the skin.

We never formulate with ingredients that pose the following risks:

Bacterial Resistance
Usually associated with harsh surfactants, bacterial resistance is when bacteria have the capacity to withstand the effects of the treatment intended to destroy or control them.
Endocrine Disruptors
Endocrine disruptors are chemicals that can interfere with the body’s endocrine (hormonal) system and produce adverse effects in development and the reproductive, neurological and immune systems.
Environmental Contaminants
Substances that when introduced to the environment may cause harm to humans, animals and nature.
Developmental Toxins
Potential hazards associated with chemical substances that may interfere with normal developmental health.
Cancer Risk
An ingredient that has either been proven to or is suspected of causing cancer.
Reproductive Toxins
Potential hazards associated with chemical substances that may interfere with normal reproductive health.
Contact Dermatitis/Irritation
An ingredient with the potential to cause contact dermatitis or skin irritation.
Current Cosmetic Regulations Are Insufficient

Industry regulations for safe product formulation in North America are not nearly as expansive as those in the European Union, which has some of the most stringent laws when it comes to cosmetics. (The E.U. has a list of 1,300 banned or restricted ingredients, Canada prohibits the use of approximately 500 while the USA bans only eleven). To ensure the safest possible products, AlumierMD chooses to exceed the E.U. regulations, avoiding some substances accepted even in Europe. We base our embargo list on evolving toxicological information and new scientific findings.

In other words, our performance and safety standards go far beyond regulatory compliance.

Total Quality Management

At AlumierMD, Clean Science also means upholding rigorous standards relating to quality throughout our production process and complete transparency about what’s in our products. Throughout our entire supply chain, we partner with like-minded suppliers who uphold ethical human and environmental values. All of our manufacturing facilities are GMP certified (international requirements), and where necessary, are FDA & Health Canada drug registered, for completely safe and effective production. The appropriate key ingredients are USP grade, which identifies purity, quality and integrity. We aim to inform and empower by providing full ingredient listings on all our product packaging, as well as our website.

The Medical-Grade Difference

"Just because the packaging says 'physician endorsed' doesn't make it medical-grade."

Ingredients in medical-grade products also differentiate them from regular skincare: They are largely purer, more concentrated, more active and elements like the pH are taken into account, which can indicate how deeply they penetrate the skin. Medical-grade products are effective as a result of the quality and strength of the ingredients...

AlumierMD is both a science-based and medical-grade brand of daily use skincare. Uniquely positioned products are exclusively dispensed by a physician or skincare professional who are qualified to recommend products for various skin types and conditions, and who will accompany clients on their personal journeys. This is not to be confused with claims featured on a mass-market brand’s packaging stating products have been developed or endorsed by physicians. If it’s not sold by a professional in a clinical setting, it is not a medical-grade product.

By choosing AlumierMD, you are not only investing in medical-grade products, but you’re also investing in the clinical expertise of a true professional and in a 360-degree approach to the long-term health of your skin.

Our Social Responsibility

Our Clean Science promise also means being socially responsible - creating products that are safe for human health and the planet. We choose ingredients that are sustainable and suppliers who share our vision of protecting and maintaining the environment.
